WINSIGHTS: College Football Passes The Duke's Mayo

As the 2021 college football season kicked off last weekend, one sponsor brand was especially memorable -- Duke's Mayonnaise.


Yup, a condiment stole the spotlight.


Owned by Sauer Brands, Duke's is a partner of the Charlotte Sports Foundation and is title sponsor of both a regular-season match-up and post-season bowl game.


Duke's seemed EVERYWHERE last weekend. Fans were bathing in mayo during ESPN College GameDay. And its regular season entitlement occurred during the highly-anticipated nationally televised season-opener between Clemson and Georgia. The result was millions of impressions among condiment-friendly viewers and tailgaters.


Duke's Twitter reach and engagement totals during Labor Day weekend -- more than 9M impressions and 52k engagements as measured by Zoomph.


So let's give some credit to this century-old brand with southern roots. It successfully crashed the national college football scene...and as a bonus even introduced mayo as body wash 😉.
